Support the BPA-free Kids Act

Like all parents, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand expects to have faith and confidence that the products her family is using are safe. That?s why she was so disturbed by a recent study by Consumer Reports revealing that a dangerous and potentially cancer-causing chemical called bisphenol-A, commonly known as BPA, has been found in a wide range of common household canned and packaged food products including green beans, tuna fish, and soups ? even in containers advertised as ?BPA Free?.

Recently, Senator Gillibrand joined with Senator Schumer to announce the BPA-Free Kids Act, legislation that would protect infants and toddlers from the health risks from BPA.
