Direct Marketing Director
The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is seeking a qualified individual to provide the expertise, leadership, creativity, and resourcefulness necessary to achieve the goals of its direct marketing program. Main responsibilities include financial accountability for a large-scale, complex program that emphasizes net revenue and oversight of all direct response channels including email, direct mail, and telemarketing. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and administer budget including projections, revisions, reporting, and tracking of all income and expense channels
- Develop the strategy and marketing plans for donor solicitation campaigns using a variety of methods to cultivate new, current and lapsed donors including direct mail, telemarketing, website, benefits/premiums and events
- Perform cost/benefit analysis of various programs including mail/phone campaigns and events to ensure maximum return; propose long-term strategies for donor/member growth
- Develop the marketing materials to support donor and prospect campaigns and ensure they are produced in the most cost-efficient and results driven way
- Ensure all materials are in compliance with the committee's rules and regulations
- Manage the activities of all program staff and consultants on all aspects of the direct marketing program development
- Provide strategic guidance to program staff and contractors and evaluate progress toward program goals
- Provide direction on outside list strategy and manage the re-development of the direct mail model
- Develop and tests new and specific messages through focus groups, surveys, and polls
- Oversee all donor servicing
- Work closely with the Internet Director to maximize revenue through all channels
- Serve as point of contact on direct mail related questions from campaigns
- Works closely with other leaders in the industry
Applicants must have at least four years of senior-level experience managing a direct response program including email fundraising, budget and project management and staff supervision. Finance Director (Campaign)
Principal Responsibilities
The DSCC is seeking finance director candidates for 2010 Senate races across the country. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 cycles of finance director experience and be willing to relocate. Responsible for writing and implementation of a comprehensive, multi-million dollar finance plan. Manages all fundraising staff and works with national fundraising consulting team to meet all fundraising goals.
Specific Duties
Develop and implement a comprehensive, multi-million dollar fundraising plan; interview, hire and manage all campaign fundraising staff, including but not limited to: deputy finance director, events manager, call time manager, and finance assistants; work with national fundraising consultants to create and implement a national fundraising program; oversee creation and implementation of events programs across the state; oversee call time program and staff to ensure effectiveness; oversee mail and email fundraising programs; work with candidate to ensure his or her effectiveness as a fundraiser.
Desired Skills:
Good written communication skills; ability to speak in a public setting; experience with NGP and/or other fundraising databases; experience managing multiple staff members.
