Mark Kirk Excoriated For Fearmongering
Not a good day for embattled Illinois Republican Mark Kirk.
First, he
from Rich Miller in the Chicago Sun-Times over his rhetoric on Guantanamo detainees:
Kirk's over the top, hyperbolic, error-riddled, extremely partisan fear tantrum finally tipped the media against him. Just about every significant newspaper in Illinois, including this one, which endorsed Kirk's re-election last year, mocked Kirk's meltdown and severely chastised him for needless and baseless fear-mongering.

Kirk is clearly showing that he's far too susceptible to our disgusting and mindless national political wars, which endlessly play out on those idiotic cable TV "news" channels. And all this makes me question how Kirk would behave if he were elected next November.

Kirk kept his fear-mongering up
, switching topics to mammograms. Kirk emailed his supporters with a deceptive email claiming that:

Paving The Way For Health Care Reform
Today, the Republican Senate Caucus, including Senators Richard Burr, Jim DeMint, Chuck Grassley, and admitted sinner David Vitter, attempted to stand in the way of the most significant health care reform package since Medicare.
Thanks to a united Senate Democratic caucus led by Majority Leader Harry Reid, the Republicans failed. But their naked and cynical attempt to stymie any semblance of reform on this critical issue will not be forgotten.
